Flat roofs have to drain
A flat roof still needs a slight slope so water runs to the drains. When water sits, it finds the weak spots. Most flat roof problems start at seams, low spots, drains and the edges around walls and AC units.
Membrane or foam?
We put on membrane and cap sheet roofs, and we spray foam. Foam is one continuous layer that also insulates, so it's worth a look for a lot of flat roofs out here. We'll tell you which one fits your roof and your budget.
Foam is our specialty. Ask us if it makes sense for your roof. Everything about foam roofing
Signs your flat roof needs attention

- Stains on ceilings under the roof
How a flat roof goes on
Keep scrolling to watch it build.
Stage 1 of 4
Tear-off and deck
The old roofing comes off down to the deck. Soft or damaged decking gets replaced.

Stage 2 of 4
Insulation board
Rigid insulation board goes down and gets fastened, giving the new roof a flat, solid base.

Stage 3 of 4
Membrane goes on
The roof membrane is rolled out, lapped and sealed at every seam, edge and anything that comes through the roof.

Stage 4 of 4
Finished
One sealed, continuous roof. Water runs off to the drains instead of sitting.

This is our general process. Every roof is different, and we'll walk you through exactly what yours needs.
Straight answers
Should I go with foam or a membrane on my flat roof?
It depends on the roof, what's on it now and your budget. Foam also adds insulation and can sometimes go over the old roof. We'll look and walk you through both.
Why does water sit on my flat roof?
Low spots, clogged drains or a roof that's settled over time. A little water that dries quickly isn't a big deal, but water that sits for days will shorten the roof's life. We can fix the drainage when we repair or replace it.
