Foam roofing in Las Vegas

We own our spray-foam equipment and do the work ourselves: new foam roofs, re-coats and repairs on flat and low-slope roofs across the valley.

Most roofers in Vegas don't do foam. We own the equipment.

Foam is our specialty and the work we're proudest of. Here's what it is and why it makes sense out here.

What a foam roof is

Spray polyurethane foam (SPF) goes on as a liquid and expands into one solid, seamless layer across your roof. Then it gets a protective coating that takes the sun.

Why it works in Vegas heat

No seams for monsoon rain to find. The coating reflects sunlight instead of soaking up heat. It's light, it seals around vents and edges, and when it wears, it can usually be re-coated instead of torn off.

Why most companies can't offer it

Foam takes a spray rig and a crew that knows how to lay it down right. Most roofing companies don't have the equipment. We do, and we run it ourselves.

  1. Stage 1 of 4

    Bare deck

Old, failed roofing comes off where it needs to. The deck gets cleaned, dried and prepped so the foam bonds.

  2. Stage 2 of 4

    Spray foam

Foam goes on as a liquid and rises into one seamless layer, sealing around vents, edges and gaps.

    Protective coating

A coating goes over the foam to shield it from UV and weather. This is the layer that takes the Vegas sun.

    Finished

One continuous roof with no seams. Sunlight bounces off instead of baking into the house.

New foam roof or a re-coat?

If your foam roof is in decent shape and the coating is worn, a re-coat brings it back without tearing anything off. If the foam itself is damaged or soaked, or you're coming from a different kind of roof, we'll talk about new foam. We'll look first and tell you which one you need.

Where foam makes sense

Foam works best on flat and low-slope roofs. A lot of Las Vegas homes have them, along with patio covers and additions. If you're not sure what you've got, send a photo with the form.

Signs your foam roof needs attention

  • Blisters or bubbles in the coating
  • Bare foam showing through worn coating
  • Water sitting in low spots after a storm
  • Cracks around vents, AC units and edges
  • Holes from birds or foot traffic

Foam questions

Can you put foam over my existing roof?

Sometimes. It depends on what's up there and what shape it's in. We'll check during the inspection and tell you if anything needs to come off first.

How often does foam need a re-coat?

It depends on the coating and how much sun and wear the roof gets. We'll check yours and tell you honestly whether it needs one yet.

Does a foam roof help with heat?

Foam is also insulation, and the coating reflects sunlight, so a lot of people notice the rooms under the roof stay cooler. Every house is different, so we won't promise you a number.
